THE VERB BE

A MI MANERA DE VER EL IDIOMA EL VERBO TO BE ES EL REY DE LOS VERBOS POR SER EL QUE PRIMERO APRENDEMOS Y EL QUE TIENE SU PROPIA FORMA DE CONJUGAR, ADEMÁS DE SER UNO DE LOS AUXILIARES MÁS IMPORTANTES DEL IDIOMA .

SE TRADUCE COMO SER O ESTAR Y A CADA PRONOMBRE LE TOCA UNA FORMA PARTICULAR DE CONJUGACIÓN ( NO DEBES CAMBIAR ESTA , SERÍA COMO QUITARLE EL APELLIDO A UNA PERSONA ).

ASÍ ES QUE.....

I am ( yo soy o yo estoy ) I am a student.

You are ( tu / ud. es o esta ) You are a student.

He is ( El es o el esta) He is a student.

She is ( Ella es o ella esta ) She is a student.

It is ( Ello es o ello esta ) It is a book. ( no puede estudiar)

We are ( Nosotros somos o estamos ) We are students.

You are (uds. son o están ) You are students.

They are ( Ellos son o están ) They are students.


El verbo to be niega con solo agregar NOT como los ejemplos que a continuación les muestro:


I am a student ( yo soy un estudiante )
I am NOT a student ( yo no soy un estudiante ).


She is a student ( Ella es una estudiante)
She is NOT a student ( Ella no es una estudiante )


You are a student ( Tu eres un estudiante )
You are NOT a student ( tu no eres un estudiante )



NOTA: Una contracción es hacer corta dos palabras y en inglés se utiliza mucho en la negación y quedarían de la siguiente manera:


are not = aren't
is not = isn't

Maria isn't a student.
Maria no es una estudiante.

Y por último aprenderemos la manera de hacer preguntas con to be. es realmente fácil, debes mover hacia adelante el verbo to be.

You are a student

Fijate que voy a mover 'are ' hacia adelante

Are you a student ?

Y ya luego solamente le pones el signo de interrogación.
